Nov. 1, 2017, OTTAWA – The Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) is now accepting nominations for the Conservation Achievement Awards. This is your opportunity to recognize the environmental leadership of individuals and organizations across Canada through one of nine prestigious national award categories.

- Youth in Action
- Youth Mentorship
- Conservation in the Arts
- WILD Educator of the Year
- Conservation in Action
- Conservation through Fisheries
- Canadian Legislators Award
- Outstanding Affiliate Conservation Project
Nominees may be volunteers or professionals whose actions contribute toward the protection of our country's natural heritage for the benefit and enjoyment of all. Applications for the Canadian Conservation Achievement Awards are due by January 31, 2018 and the winners will be announced in June, 2018 at a special ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the awards program.
If you know a natural leader or a successful and inspirational conservation project, please submit a nomination. The winners will be featured in Canadian Wildlife magazine and recognized at the national ceremony to which they will receive transportation, accommodation and accolades.
Previous winners have come from all walks of life and dedicated their time to many important causes. The Canadian Wildlife Federation established the awards program in 1978, making it one of the longest-running celebrations of its kind. Each award has a special significance, honouring the legacy of Canada’s connection to wildlife.
