Recognizes excellence in creative media and storytelling that deepens public connection to nature.
The Canadian Wild Media Impact Award stands among the country’s most distinguished honours celebrating the power of creativity in conservation. It recognizes individuals, collectives and agencies whose artistic vision has deepened public awareness and appreciation of Canada’s wildlife and natural habitats. This includes but is not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, writing, song, animation, choreography, advertising, social media content development, Indigenous storytelling, film and/or television production. To be named a recipient is a profound distinction and a mark of excellence within any creative field.
The award was created to celebrate Renowned Canadian artist Robert Bateman, whose iconic, meticulously rendered works have elevated wildlife art worldwide and generated millions in support of environmental stewardship.
Eligibility
