A corporate sponsorship payment is one where a corporation makes a
philanthropic gift to the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) without
substantial gain in return and in keeping with Canadian Revenue guidelines
and policies.
Corporate sponsorships can provide tax benefits to the corporation and will
be recognized by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, but cannot endorse the
sponsor’s product, use comparative language, mention price, or advertise
for the corporation.
Sponsoring matching donations are one popular way for corporations to
participate. This allows the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) to provide
a financial incentive to individual donors and can result in doubling or
even tripling donations.
