Bioblitz

  • Bamfield Fungus Festival

    The Bamfield Fungus Festival is an annual festival coordinated under the umbrella of the Bamfield Huu-ay-aht Community Forest Society that celebrates the ecological importance and diversity of the mysterious world of fungi. Events take place over 2 days in the remote community of Bamfield, in Huu-ay-aht First Nations territory.

  • Great Canadian Bioblitz

    The CWF Great Canadian Bioblitz returns to provide nature enthusiasts with a fun and easy way to connect with nature — and take inventory of Canada’s wildlife species.

  • 2026 Victoria Park BioBlitz

    2026-09-18

    This BioBlitz will run all day on September 18, 2026 as a part of the iNat Together initiative. This encourages people to meet in person and share their interest in nature, all while learning, exploring and contributing to science.

  • Monarch Blitz and Seed Drill Name Reveal

    The event will be an opportunity to join thousands of people from across Canada, the United States, and Mexico by participating in the 2026 International Monarch Monitoring Blitz! We’ll look for monarch butterflies and milkweed plants, examining them for eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalises. The Monarch Blitz data are uploaded and shared via the Trinational Monarch Knowledge Network to assist researchers in answering key questions about monarch butterflies and milkweed.
