Martin Short to perform on April 14th, 2016
February 8, 2016 (Ottawa) — Tickets to the annual Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) Goose Gala presented by Rogers are now 65% sold. The gala will take place on Thursday, April 14th, 2016 at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto, Ontario. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at GooseGala.org.
Martin Short will headline the fundraiser with a special performance. Loretta Rogers, Honourary Chair of the Goose Gala, will be recognized for her commitment to stewardship and her tremendous, ongoing support of CWF’s collaborative approach to protect wildlife and wild places. Hosted by renowned Canadian broadcaster Brian Williams and featuring National Wildlife Week ambassador and former judge on Canada’s Next Top Model Yasmin Warsame, the Goose Gala will be an evening of entertainment, education and wildlife celebration.
The gala is held annually during National Wildlife Week (April 10-16, 2016) and this year will highlight the 100th anniversary of the Migratory Bird Convention through our theme: Giving Wings to Wildlife Conservation. CWF is focusing on our winged friends such as butterflies, songbirds and bees, all of which are in decline due to habitat loss, impacts from pesticides, and climate change. The gala continues to raise funds for the CWF ‘Wild by Nature’ campaign which directly impacts Canadian wildlife.
The Goose Gala would like to thank Rogers Communications and HSBC for their support of the gala and on-going commitment to wildlife conservation and connecting youth with nature in Canada.
