Sherri OwenSherri Owen

Lakefield, Ontario

Sherri Owen has been an outdoor educator for more than 20 years. In that time, she has emerged as an effective and inspiring wilderness “guide,” teaching thousands about the pleasures and responsibilities of loving the wild. Students from primary straight through high school with a wide variety of backgrounds, challenges, strengths and life experiences have benefited from the way she connects their outdoor experiences to their studies in science, arts, history, geography and social studies. As a facilitator in CWF’s Project Wild teacher training, Owen has also imbued hundreds of Ontario educators with her passion and creativity.
