Welcome,

How do I deal with a rattlesnake? I've got one in my backyard and I want it gone!

Q. How do I deal with a rattlesnake? I've got one in my backyard and I want it gone!

If you see a snake on your property that looks like these descriptions, don’t automatically assume it’s a rattlesnake! There are snakes that resemble these species. Finding a snake with blotches doesn’t mean you found a rattlesnake. There are even non-venomous snakes that pretend to have a rattle. They’ll vibrate their tail tips and make it sound like a rattle when their tail comes in contact with leaf litter. Do a little research to see if there is a species of rattlesnake in your area. Most people in Canada do not live near rattlesnakes.
