Yves Jean, Ph.D. is a Canadian environmental scientist and professor of environmental sciences whose work focuses on the relationships between ecosystems, biodiversity, and sustainable resource management. A full professor of environmental sciences, he has spent his career advancing interdisciplinary research and teaching that bridges ecological science, policy, and community engagement. His scholarship and academic leadership have contributed to a deeper understanding of environmental change and the development of practical approaches to conservation and sustainability in Canada and internationally. In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Jean has been actively involved in mentoring students, supporting collaborative research networks, and contributing his expertise to public dialogue and initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental stewardship and evidence-based decision-making.
