Born and raised in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories, Robert R. McLeod served as Premier of the Northwest Territories for two years. Over the years of his tenure as Premier, he served as Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Minister Responsible for Women, Minister Responsible for New Energy Initiatives, Minister of Human Resources, Minister or Industry, Tourism and Investment and Minister Responsible for the Public Utilities Board.
He is an active member of the Yellowknife community and enjoys spending time with his wife, Melody, his son Warren, daughter in law Shannon and two beautiful grandsons, Carter and Cooper.
