George is the founding chair of Stratos Inc. a national management consultancy focused on the sustainable management of natural resources.
He has held several positions with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) including Assistant Director General at its headquarters in Switzerland and eight years as member of it governing Council, and chair of the Council Governance Committee.
George enjoys downhill and cross country skiing, hockey, soccer, hiking and biking. He and his botanist partner have an adult son.
