David Yorke

David Yorke was born and raised on a mixed farming operation north of Toronto. After graduating from Centralia College in spring 1985, he was hired by Cargill Ltd. and moved to Wynyard Saskatchewan to start his Agri Business career. In 2004, he joined the R.M. of Hoodoo No. 401 where he assisted in the office, ran the R.M. owned elevator, and eventually became Administrator.

David has been involved with numerous organizations over the years including 4-H, Boy Scouts, Local Coop Association and the Cudworth Tricky Maroons Senior Hockey Team. He also worked as an Emergency Medical Responder and Fire Rescue Service in the Cudworth area.

After moving to the Nipawin area late 2018, he became a proud member of the Nipawin Fish and Game League where he currently sits as Vice-President.

David has been actively involved in a number of Board Committees including the Compensation Review Committee, the Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research Center Board, the Saskatchewan Wildlife Asset Management Committee, Fish and Wildlife Development Fund and the Finance Committee most recently as Chair. He was recently elected President of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.

He has been married to his wife Maureen for 27 years and has two wonderful children: Caitlin and Sam. He has instilled a love of the outdoors in his family and enjoys hunting, fishing and camping.
