No matter where you live in Canada, we’re all connected to our rivers and oceans.
Some species, such as the American Eel and Chinook Salmon, make incredible migrations from freshwater to saltwater or vice versa. Along the way, they face enormous threats that have caused their population numbers to plummet.
We don’t want to lose either of these species. The American Eel and Chinook Salmon are vital to their ecosystems and culturally significant to Indigenous Peoples.
This Rivers to Oceans Week, we’re asking Canadians to learn about these amazing migratory fish and how we can all work together to give them safe passage. Dive in to find out how you can make a difference!
