Gary Penney comes from the South Shore of Nova Scotia and spent 30 years working at Michelin Tires Canada Ltd. working at the Bridgewater and Pictou production plants. Gary started his own excavation company, Penney’s Backhoe Services, which he continues to own and operate to this day.During his time at Michelin, he became involved with a youth camp, Lutheran Camp Mush-A-Mush, becoming Chairperson for several years, moving on to become Chairperson for all three outdoor camps of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eastern Canada, Ontario and Nova Scotia
He was also President of Lunenburg County Wildlife Association for 16 years seeing a land purchase and establishment of Sucker Lake Rainbow Trout year-round fishery.
