As part of the 2008 Footprint Project, CWF funded the creation of bird box kits to be assembled and installed by youth to create habitat on conservation lands in Alberta.
Many of the boxes are put up and maintained on AFGA conservation properties to enhance habitat values. In 2008, Edmonton, Alberta was the host city. CWF funded a habitat amelioration project in the something park and funds used went to the installation of bird boxes and posts for overall habitat improvement in the area.
