Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation, the Nature Trust of New Brunswick and a host of partners as the Huntsman Marine Science Centre celebrates their 50th anniversary by hosting a Bioblitz on the ocean floor. Participants are invited to meet at the Bathhouse on Ministers Island, where we will join species and naturalist experts to record all the species we can find in the intertidal zone, while obtaining an overall count of all organisms living in the area. It’s your opportunity to help us take a “nature selfie” in one of Canada’s most unique areas. Download your free iNaturalist Canada app (found at iNaturalist.ca) and use it to help us take inventory and track biodiversity in the area. At 2:00 p.m., the celebration continues in the Fundy Discovery Aquarium, where we’ll be screening images of all the species. We’ll also be sharing information from all our partners in conservation through interactive displays. There will even be 50th anniversary cake! Register your interest in joining us for this great fall event.
