Thank you for signing up to receive the Wildlife Calendar!
Share with your friends and family so they, too, can get a stunning Canadian Wildlife calendar!
Canadians have a great love for wildlife and a deep connection to nature that unites us. The Canadian Wildlife Federation aims to protect wildlife and engage every Canadian in conserving wildlife species and habitats.
This calendar helps us achieve these goals and features some of Canada’s at-risk species. We have made progress thanks to the dedication of our steadfast supporters. Some recent successes include:
- Studies that will prevent the death or injury of at-risk Sea Turtles in commercial fishing gear
- Educational programs that have taught more than one million students across Canada about important wildlife issues by promoting responsible actions and conservation learning
- Tagging and tracking of Basking Sharks to help minimize threats from human activity such as commercial fishing and shipping
- Measuring the impacts of industrial resource development in the western boreal forest on wildlife and habitat over the next 50 years to help make the case for large-scale habitat protection across the region
These examples are just a few of the many projects we’ve been able to achieve with the support of donors and partners. Learn more or view our annual report»
Supporting Canada's Wildlife
The 2021 calendar is a wonderful example of how the Canadian Wildlife Federation works: each of us contributes to promoting the beauty and importance of Canadian wildlife and their habitat, garnering much-needed support for these species and their natural surroundings.
Without our loyal and steadfast supporters, we would not be able to work towards a future that conserves and supports our many species and their precious habitat! A future where species are not at risk — a future, for example, where our pollinators flourish and their vanishing habitat is conserved and where North Atlantic Right Whales have been brought back from near extinction. It's just another inspiring reminder of why CWF’s conservation goals and initiatives are urgently needed.
Today I am hoping that your appreciation of nature and your new calendar will inspire you to send in a gift — a gift to conserve the species that need our help!
Ways to Help: Making Room for Wildlife
Did you know you can help local wildlife by providing habitat in your backyard? Participants in our backyard habitat program can apply to have their backyards certified as a wildlife-friendly environment. For more information on this program or to get your backyard certified, visit CWF's gardening section Wild Spaces.
CWF publishes three magazines to engage Canadians in conservation. The adult and older youth magazines, Canadian Wildlife and its French-language counterpart Biosphère share amazing photography and wildlife news bi-monthly. WILD, our publication for kids aged five to 13, teaches children about our amazing natural world. To subscribe, visit shop.cwf-fcf.org.
Conserving Wildlife for Future Generations
CWF is committed to a future in which the needs of wildlife are balanced against those of people. We seek to give wildlife a voice in decision making, and encourage all Canadians to live in harmony with our natural world.
