Vanderwater Conservation Area, Thomasburg, Ontario
To an artist, the colour wheel is a tool for showing the relationships between hues and tones, and the subtle connections that exist between them. Shades emerge as primary colours blend slowly together, creating a unified field in which even the most disparate elements are connected. To Sarah Pemberton, who snapped the clever image above, it is also an apt metaphor for the cycles and relationships that knit the natural world into the whole that we call “environment.”
