- What conservation issue is closest to your heart?
- I’m very interested in the impacts of habitat fragmentation on species at risk, particularly in more vulnerable areas like forests, coasts and the North. I am also interested in any issues surrounding protected areas and species at risk, in particular woodland caribou, cetaceans, and birds.
- What are you hoping to learn from CCC?
- I have no expectations aside from learning a lot, challenging myself and meeting new people who are equally excited about the earth. I life to take each day as it comes.
- Who/what inspired you to care about conservation?
- I’ve always been a person who loves science and being outside in any capacity which was a huge inspiration to study physical geography and biology. Another thing that greatly impacted my passion for conservation was my summer job of tree planting in Northern Alberta.

- Rachel Carson, the author of Silent Spring. She was a distrupter and spearheaded the modern environmental movement.
