Water's Worth It! Video Contest Rules and Regulations

  • The theme for the video contest is Water’s Worth It.
  • Anyone in Canada is eligible to enter.
  • Each participant is welcome to submit a maximum of three entries.
  • All entries, including any still images, music and video clips that are part of the video, must be original. Whether you mean to or not, claiming that someone else's work is your own (plagiarism) is a serious violation of copyright law.
  • All entries must be exactly 60 seconds in length.
  • You are welcome to work with friends, family, coworkers, etc. in creating a video; however, only one prize package will be awarded per team.
  • In order to be eligible, all entries must be uploaded to YouTube, and a contest entry form must be filled out at RiverstoOceans.ca.
  • No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.
  • All entries must be submitted online no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time on June 20, 2011.
  • By submitting an entry, the participant (and his/her adult representative, if applicable) will:
    • Certify that the entry submitted is entirely original
    • Take any and all legal responsibility for breaches of copyright caused by plagiarism
    • Grant the Canadian Wildlife Federation and its licensees and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual licence to reproduce the submitted work, in whole or in part, for any purpose, including research on the Internet, in print publications and/or any other medium, without compensation of any kind, and to publish the entrant's name, age and province or territory in conjunction with the work
    • Authorize persons accessing RiverstoOceans.ca, cwf-fcf.org or any affiliated websites to view, download and print the work for personal and classroom educational purposes

If you are selected as a finalist, all persons appearing in your video will be required to sign model releases before you can be confirmed as a finalist.
